The Parish Church is known as Kirk Christ is but is actually dedicated to the Holy Trinity’
A stone slab, affixed above the west door of the church, bears the following inscription:
Dedicated to the Holy Trinity
Rushen Church 1775

In 1975 the church celebrated a
‘A BICENTENARY OCCASION’
 But it was not the anniversary of the founding of the church !
